Born and bred in Genadendal, Norwina Smith and her mother, Winifred have always had a love of creating something out of almost nothing.
For as long as she can remember, Norwina and her mom showed their creative flair for designing and creating bespoke articles.

They call their business “BIETJIE VAN ALS” – an Afrikaans term meaning “a bit of everything!”

Some of their fabrics have been used to create beautiful decorative mirrors, which selling like hot cakes! They also use paint river stones for use as door stoppers or paper weights; keepsakes reminding you of your visit to Genadendal.
